Who We Are, and Why Akron Realty Exists

First of all, thank you to everyone who has subscribed, signed up, shared feedback, or taken an interest in what we are doing at Akron Realty. We genuinely appreciate it.

From the beginning, Akron Realty has been driven by a simple belief: finding the right property in Lagos should feel more trustworthy, more transparent, and far less stressful than it often does today. In our early stages, we spoke with property seekers, agents, and landlords through online focus groups and research conversations. Those conversations gave us a clearer view of just how much frustration, uncertainty, and wasted effort people experience in the rental journey.

What we are seeing

Again and again, we have heard about the same problems.  

Renters talk about fake or duplicated listings, hidden or unclear fees, stressful inspections, and the difficulty of knowing who or what to trust. Our research notes also point to repeated movement costs, payment anxiety, poor coordination, and pressure to make decisions too early.  

What stood out to us was that this is not only a property seeker's problem.  

Agents also deal with unclear expectations, time-wasters, and the challenge of building trust quickly. Landlords are thinking about screening, reliability, and finding the right tenant without unnecessary stress. The current system puts pressure on everyone, just in different ways.  

Why we started with listening 

That is why Akron Realty started with listening. 

That early research helped shape the direction we are taking today. Akron Realty now features properties for rent and sale, including land, while we continue learning from the people who use and work within the market. We are putting those lessons into practice. 

For us, this work is not about making loud promises. It is about taking the property experience seriously. It is about asking better questions. It is about paying attention to frustrations people have accepted for too long as “normal.” And it is about building a process that works better for renters, buyers, sellers, agents, and landlords alike. 

What we care about

We believe a better property experience should feel clearer from the start. People should understand what they are stepping into, whether they are renting, buying, or listing. They should not feel pushed around by uncertainty. They should not have to rely only on luck, guesswork, or back-and-forth confusion.

As we continue this journey, we will keep learning in public, sharing thoughtful updates, and building with care. There is room for a property experience that feels more human, more honest, and more structured than what many people deal with today. 

That vision is what keeps us going.
